A Proposal of Application Notice has been submitted to City of Edinburgh Council for the demolition of the existing building and redevelopment of the site for a mixed-use development comprising residential, hotel and office uses with ancillary commercial spaces, associated open space, car parking, landscaping, and ancillary works at Argyle House, 3 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9DS.

A third consultation event is scheduled to take place on the 14th July between 3pm and 7pm at The Lookout, Edinburgh Futures Institute, 1 Lauriston Place, Edinburgh, EH3 9EF. The design team have taken on board feedback received from the first two events along with advice received from the Edinburgh Urban Design Panel, and City of Edinburgh Council through pre-application advice discussions which has culminated in revised proposals being prepared.  At this third event the design team will explain the design progression which has taken place with further details on the revised proposals and provide you with a final opportunity to provide feedback and engage with the project team prior to a planning application being prepared.

Two statutory consultation events were held on the 2nd December 2025 and 28th January 2026 which provided further details on the redevelopment proposals for the site, as well as an opportunity to comment on the proposal and engage with members of the project team.
